Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between IntelliBite and the Bite Optimization in previous software versions? Which devices support the IntelliBite feature?

    The previous Bite Optimization function primarily addressed cross-bite issues caused by scanning accuracy limitations. IntelliBite, on the other hand, is designed to accurately restore the patient’s real occlusion, avoiding cross-bite and over-opening risks due to scanning deviations.

    Aoralscan Elf and Aoralscan Elite series can support IntelliBite.

  • Can Aoralscan Elf be used with all-in-one carts?

    Yes. Aoralscan Elf can be seamlessly integrated with AoStation and Emotion all-in-one carts for a more convenient scanning experience.

  • Which Shining3D scanners come with Intelligent Plaque Management Suite?

    Besides Aoralscan Elf, Intelligent Plaque Management Suite is available for free with the following SHINING 3D intraoral scanners:

  • Can Aoralscan Elf use the Coded Scanbody kit?

    No. Aoralscan Elf does not support the Intraoral Photogrammetry workflow, and therefore cannot use the Coded Scanbody kit.
