  • What is the major difference between MetiSmile and MetiSmile-MR?

    Metismile-MR is specifically designed for jaw motion function. lt comes with a bult in Mandibular Movement Trajectory Tracking module. The standard MetiSmile does not include jaw motion modules and requires separate purchase. Other functions remain the same for both versions.

  • Are the accessories the same for MetiSmile and MetiSmile-MR?

    No. MetiSmile-MR includes jaw motion tracking by default, so it comes with additional motion trackers and markers. The standard MetiSmile package includes markers only.

  • What can I do with the mandibular trajectory data?

    Trajectory data can be exported to exocad for prosthetic design.

    It also supports evaluation of movement coordination, symmetry, and stability for TMD analysis (final diagnosis is clinician-dependent).Optimized jaw relations can be transferred to exocad or CreSplint for accurate splint design.

  • Are facial scan data open and compatible with third-party software?

    Yes. MetiSmile exports STL, OBJ, and PLY formats and is fully compatible with exocad and other third-party software.
